DEFRA consultation on meeting EU Landfill Diversion Targets

DEFRA has announced a new consultation that looks at the definition of municipal waste and the baseline and targets.

It also seeks views on the future of the Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme (LATS), and the policies Defra should pursue that address both the local authority and private sector elements of municipal waste.
